Subsequent to prevention of entrance of physicians to Camp Ashraf to carry out emergency operations and medical treatments, Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, President-elect of the Iranian Resistance, urged Pope Benedict XVI, UN Secretary General, U.S. President and senior officials, EU, and relevant international organizations including the International Committee of the Red Cross to intervene immediately to stop inhumane pressures exerted by Iraqi forces on Ashraf residents. |

Following the new inhuman restrictions imposed on the residents of Camp Ashraf (in Iraq's Diyala Province), who are members of the People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI), Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, the President-elect of Iranian Resistance in letter addressed to the U.S. President described the move as a conspiracy by the religious dictatorship. She said that remarks by the Iranian regime's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei during his February 28 meeting with the President of Iraq triggered the restrictions. |

Stefano Manacorda, Associate Professor of Criminal Law from Naples University, Italy, talked about the legal opinion submitted by Prof. Antonio Cassesse, President of the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia (ICTY), saying: Prof. Cassesse has formulated his opinion on the basis of European human rights conventions. Regarding the June 17th dossier in France he has undoubtedly come to the conclusion that this dossier does not at all comply with human rights principles and the rule of law. |
