Maryam Rajavi addresses the International Women Conference - Paris - 25 February 2005
The decisive defeat of Islamic fundamentalist would be
possible only through the pioneering role of women. For this reason, we
underscore the need for the active and equal participation of women in
political leadership...
No one could use religious or cultural pretext or any other
justification to distort women's rights, which are as universal as
human rights, and deny their totality.

Checking the mullahs International Herald Tribune
By: Maryam Rajavi
PARIS - Jan 28, 2005 - How should the world deal with the challenges posed by the Iranian regime, with its continuing support for terrorism, increasing meddling in Iraq and relentless pursuit of nuclear weapons? Approaches under debate range from engagement, with the hope of empowering the "moderates," to military invasion. But the best option is to initiate change through the Iranian people and the organized resistance movement. |

"Today, I learned about your anti-fundamentalist Islam, which
is diametrically opposed to religious dogmatism. I pray for your
success and that of the Iranian resistance." |

"But I have come here today to say that there is a third option: Change
brought about by the Iranian people and the Iranian Resistance.
No concession is going to dissuade the mullahs from continuing their
ominous objectives. Let us recall the day after the 1938 Munich Pact,
when Sir Winston Churchill said in the House of Commons, "You were
given the choice between war and dishonor. You chose dishonor and you
will have war."
Address by the Iranian Resistance's President-elect at the European Parliament - December 15, 2004
