Council of Europe Parliamentary Assembly describes the ruling by POAC to de-proscribe the PMOI a slap in the face for HM Government and calls on member states to abide by orders handed down by the judicial institutions

In its session today, Council of Europe Parliamentary Assembly adopted the draft report and resolution on the terrorist lists prepared by its Committee on Legal Affairs and Human Rights (CLAHR). Citing the report, the resolution reiterated that "The Council of the European Union and the EU Member States must implement immediately the decisions of competent European and national judicial institutions affecting the status of the listed persons or entities."

The President-elect of the Iranian Resistance, Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, extended her congratulations on the occasion of Martin Luther King Day to all freedom-loving people across the world, especially in the United States.

Mrs. Rajavi paid homage to the memory of a man, who endeavored for peace, justice and friendship under difficult and unjust conditions. Now, 40 years after his heartbreaking assassination, the world misses his great character and fortitude even further. In paying tribute to Dr. King today we pay tribute to his ideals.

Global Politician , 17 January -  The war of words and actions between the Iranian regime and the US administration has been at the forefront of all Middle Eastern affairs since the invasion of Iraq in 2003. However, one incident in the last week brought this to our sharp attention. The Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) in the Strait of Hormuz were seen to have threatened a US naval fleet with what can only be described as extremely provocative actions. This most recent event occurs less than a year after 15 British sailors were detained in international waters by Iranian officials, taken to Iran and paraded on TV.

On Sunday, January 6, the New Year was celebrated in Auvers-sur-Oise with Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, President-elect of the Iranian Resistance. French dignitaries and Local residents greeted Mrs. Rajavi and wished her a year of major success in 2008 and an end to the rule of mullahs in Iran. 

Among dignitaries and local officials in the event were four mayors from Val d'Oise province and former president of the lawyers bar association in the province.
