My fellow compatriots, The removal of the PMOI from the EU’s blacklist is a victory for law and justice. This is an accomplishment which belongs to all jurists, members of parliament, and honorable and esteemed personalities who rose up to defend the rule of law in solidarity with the Iranian people’s Resistance. They were larger than life human beings who worked tirelessly in this campaign and turned a page in the history of Europe and the world on the dark era of appeasement. |

My fellow compatriots, Friends of the Resistance, The obstacle of the terrorist allegation has crumbled. The spell has at last been broken. With perseverance and determination, you courageously rose above the flames of injustice and rendered law and justice victorious. Your resistance established the right of the Iranian people to struggle for freedom. This marks a decisive turning point on the course of democratic change in Iran. It is the beginning of a momentous era and a prelude to the liberation of our enchained homeland. |

“The Legal experts declared today that the decision by the Council of Ministers to maintain the PMOI in the terrorist list on France's initiative lacks any legal standing. This decision betrays the rule of law. In order to respect the rule of law and the views expressed by the European parliamentarians, the EU must immediately remove the PMOI from its list”, Maryam Rajavi said in Brussels on September 16.

Speaking to an International Conference entitled, “The Tolerant Islam against Fundamentalism”, Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, President-elect of the Iranian Resistance called on the followers of Prophet Mohammad to rise to establish a decisive demarcation between fundamentalism and theocracy. She said, “The PMOI represents a bright and tolerant Islam. That is why it enjoys a broad popular base in Iran and has many supporters in the Middle East.”

A memorial ceremony for the late Lord Russell-Johnston was held at the residence of Maryam Rajavi, president-elect of the Iranian Resistance, in Auvers-sur-Oise, north of Paris. Participants, including British parliamentarians, French dignitaries and many other French and Iranians expressed condolences to members of Lord Russell-Johnston's family in this ceremony. In a speech, Mrs. Rajavi paid tribute to this great friend of the Iranian Resistance. |
