NCRI - In a meeting of women activists, political personalities and members of the Norwegian Parliament in Oslo, on November 7, Mrs. Maryam Rajavi spoke on the dreadful plight of women in Iran and the accomplishments of the Iranian Resistance regarding gender equality . The following is the full text of her speech:

NCRI – On November 7, Maryam Rajavi, President-elect of the Iranian Resistance, met the First Vice-President of the Norwegian Parliament, Carl Hagen. Mr. Hagen welcomed Mrs. Rajavi on behalf of the Stortinget (Parliament). Stressing his support for the Resistance, Mr. Hagen added: Your situation is similar to Norway’s during the Second World War. At that time, we resisted inside the country and we formed a government in exile in Great Britain. You and this exiled government are similarly fighting to liberate your country. |

NCRI – Accomplishments of the Iranian Resistance regarding gender equality was addressed by Mrs. Maryam Rajavi in her meeting with members of the equality movement in Oslo on November 7.
The meeting was chaired by Mrs. Brit Ås, a distinguished Norwegian women's rights movement personality, at the Red Cross building in Oslo. Parliament deputies, academics and women writers and activists were among participants in the meeting. |

Norwegian deputies are not afraid of meeting the leader of the Iranian opposition.
Aftenposten, Norway, November 8 – Maryam Rajavi, leader of the Iranian opposition, believes that if the world imposes an embargo against Iran and removes the terrorist label from the People’s Mojahedin resistance movement, Iranians will be able to get rid of the oppressive mullahs’ regime. |

Hundreds of Iranians from Norway, who had gathered outside the Stortinget (parliament) for hours, warmly greeted her upon her arrival, chanting “Freedom and democracy with Maryam Rajavi”. |

NCRI – On November 7, Maryam Rajavi, President-elect of the Iranian Resistance, was invited by the foreign affairs committee of the Norwegian Parliament (Stortinget) to give a speech during its official session on the situation in Iran.
She was welcomed by a group of parliamentary deputies upon her arrival. The press had also come to produce their own reports. Hundreds of Iranians from Oslo had gathered in the morning outside the parliament to welcome the leader of the opposition. |

Policy of appeasement with Iran regime has totally faild – Lord Fraser
In a meeting with Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, Lord Fraser of Carmyllie, former cabinet minister in Margrette Thatcher's government and Scottish Solicitor General, expressed his support to the Iranian Resistance and reiterated that the policy of appeasement with the Iranian regime has totally failed and it worked against Iranian people. Lord Fraser who represented the United Kingdom at the Strasburg's Human Rights Court and Europe's Court of Justice, stressed that People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran was labeled as a terror group in response to Iranian regime's demand while majority of the British Parliament are against this designation. He also expressed his support to Mrs. Rajavi's third option for democratic change in Iran through people and their organized resistance and reminded that many of his colleagues from all three major political parties in both houses are campaigning to remove the terror label against the PMOI. |

Mr. Brian Binley, Conservative MP for Northampton South-UK, met and held talks with the President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran in Auvers-sur-Oise, north of Paris, On February 5, 2006. Ms. Dowlat Norouzi, the NCRI representative in the United Kingdom was present in the meeting.
The British Parliamentarian stated that the policy of appeasement, centered around terrorist label against the People's Mojahedin, is a devastating mistake by the British government and other European countries. |

Abbe Pierre, founder of the Emmaus International aiding the poor and homeless, was warmly received by Mrs. Rajavi, President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran at her residence in Auvers-sur-Oise, north of Paris, on Thursday, October 13.
Abbe Pierre was a member of the French Resistance during World War II and has been a fervent defender of human rights and especially the right to housing which has turned him into one of the most popular personalities in France. |

the National Council of Resistance o f Iran, at her residence in
Auvers-sur-Oise, north of Paris.
Mr. MacKinlay, a member of Foreign Affairs Select Committee of the
British Parliament, spoke of great support for Mrs. Rajavi among his
colleagues in both houses of Parliament. "The Iranian resistance
supporters' relentless endeavors to reveal the crimes of the mullahs'
regime shows the legitimacy and extensive support this resistance
enjoys within the Iranian society," he said. |
