In this meeting, Ms. Faille praised the Iranian Resistance's struggle
against Islamic fundamentalism. She particularly lauded the role of
women in the resistance. She expressed confidence that the resolute
struggle of Iranian women will finally resolve in freedom and democracy
coming to Iran.
The Member of Parliament from Canada voiced concern over the human
rights situation in Iran and said the Canadian government must take a
decisive policy against the mullahs' regime and recognize the Iranian
people's aspiration for a democratic regime.
Australian parliamentarian Ms. Sylvia Hale expressed her solidarity
with, and support for, the Iranian Resistance. She praised the leading
role women play in the Iranian Resistance and noted that the
participation of women in political leadership of the movement is the
best guarantee for Iran's democratic development after the mullahs.
Mrs. Rajavi expressed her pleasure in meeting the parliamentarians
and said, "The fundamentalist regime in Iran is a threat for peace and
tranquility not only in Iran, but for the whole world, because
terrorism and Islamic fundamentalism across the world emanate from this
regime.
The President-elect of the Iranian Resistance paid tribute to the
memories of Ms. Zahra Kazemi, the Iranian-Canadian journalist, who was
murdered under torture in prison in Iran. She called on the Canadian
government and parliament to prosecute this brutal crime of the
mullahs' regime relentlessly.
