In this meeting, Ms. Faille praised the Iranian Resistance's struggle against Islamic fundamentalism. She particularly lauded the role of women in the resistance. She expressed confidence that the resolute struggle of Iranian women will finally resolve in freedom and democracy coming to Iran.

The Member of Parliament from Canada voiced concern over the human rights situation in Iran and said the Canadian government must take a decisive policy against the mullahs' regime and recognize the Iranian people's aspiration for a democratic regime.

Australian parliamentarian Ms. Sylvia Hale expressed her solidarity with, and support for, the Iranian Resistance. She praised the leading role women play in the Iranian Resistance and noted that the participation of women in political leadership of the movement is the best guarantee for Iran's democratic development after the mullahs.

Mrs. Rajavi expressed her pleasure in meeting the parliamentarians and said, "The fundamentalist regime in Iran is a threat for peace and tranquility not only in Iran, but for the whole world, because terrorism and Islamic fundamentalism across the world emanate from this regime.

The President-elect of the Iranian Resistance paid tribute to the memories of Ms. Zahra Kazemi, the Iranian-Canadian journalist, who was murdered under torture in prison in Iran. She called on the Canadian government and parliament to prosecute this brutal crime of the mullahs' regime relentlessly.
