Through export of crisis and fanning the fires of conflict in the Middle East, the mullahs seek to overshadow their nuclear program and schemes to devour Iraq
The world is facing the clerical regime’s escalating belligerence and its dire consequences in the Middle East, especially in Lebanon. The international community must immediately rise to challenge the mullahs who are fanning the fires of conflict and exporting terrorism and crisis. The current situation is the outcome of two decades of the Western appeasement of the mullahs and turning a blind eye to the mullahs’ export of terrorism, fundamentalism and the suppression of the Iranian nation. Such a policy must no longer continue.
The adoption of a decisive policy against the Iranian regime is more imperative than ever before. The Iranian Resistance’s President-elect Mrs. Maryam Rajavi said in this regard: The solution to regional is for the United Nations Security Council to eliminate the influence of the mullahs’ regime across the Middle East, especially in Lebanon, Palestine and Iraq. The religious fascism ruling Iran is the primary obstacle to peace and tranquility in this region of the world. The mullahs consider peace in the Middle East as the noose around their necks and are doing their utmost to obstruct and undermine it. The mullahs’ objective in exporting crisis and bringing about a devastating war is to cover up their projects to acquire nuclear weapons and their evil plans to completely dominate and devour Iraq. It is not a mere coincidence that the mullahs’ regime has begun this latest belligerence simultaneous with its rejection of the P5+1 incentive package and the return of its nuclear dossier to the Security Council. The Iranian Resistance also deplores the killing of innocent people in Lebanon and Palestine by Israel and calls for efforts to end bloodshed and the killing of civilians. The only loser from peace in the region and democracy in Iraq is the religious dictatorship ruling Iran. Contrary to its demagogic propaganda, the Iranian regime has afflicted the greatest blows to the people of Palestine. Similarly, contrary to its deceptive pretenses about Islam, the regime in Tehran is the biggest enemy of Islam, the religion of mercy and emancipation. Crises in Palestine and Lebanon allow the mullahs to present themselves as advocates of the rights of Arab people. By propelling Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to the presidency, the mullahs’ Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei has laid out a roadmap to divert global attention from its nuclear program and its plans for Iraq. To set the stage for this dirty war, the mullahs’ regime had dispatched more shipments of weapons, ammunition and various missiles to Lebanon in the past few months. It also sent a greater number of its Revolutionary Guards to that country. In the past year, the mullahs’ leader repeatedly briefed their operatives in Tehran, Damascus and Beirut to this end. A year ago, with the ascension of Ahmadinejad to presidency, the Iranian Resistance emphasized that by bringing to power a Revolutionary Guards-terrorist, Khamenei had declared war on the Iranian people and the international community. This was manifested in domestic repression, the nuclear program and meddling in Iraq. Meanwhile, continuing the policy of appeasing the mullahs and negotiating and granting concessions has provided them with many opportunities to advance their ominous designs.
