NRK, Norwegian TV, November 6 – Maryam Rajavi, leader of Iran’s government-in-exile, does not ask for military assistance to overthrow the regime in Iran. She arrived a few hours ago in Oslo, and in the coming days she is due to meet Norwegian officials as well as the Iranian exile community.

The Iranian regime does not like that. The outspoken leader of the Iranian opposition was very warmly welcomed by the crowd. Maryam Rajavi heads the National Council of Resistance. Tonight, she said on the Norwegian television NRK, the Iranian resistance is strong enough to overthrow the Iranian regime.

Maryam Rajavi: “Continuing the appeasement policy and negotiations is not a solution. With the Iranian people’s help, this resistance is able to solve the problem of this regime, only if the international community puts an end to its concessions…”

She brought documents showing that the regime still represses the opposition’s activities. Rajavi thinks that “dialogue” with this regime is useless and that the solution lies in comprehensive sanctions by the international community. Yet she does not request any military assistance.

Maryam Rajavi: “You know that the Iranian Resistance has announced that it is against any military intervention by any foreign government to liberate Iran, just as we reject appeasement”.

(Video clip of Maryam Rajavi leaving the interview room) “I hope to see you soon in Tehran after the fall of the mullahs.”

But the People’s Mojahedin Organization has not yet succeeded in getting rid of the terrorist label that the United States imposed on it ten years ago (…) Tomorrow, Rajavi is due to meet the Foreign Affairs Parliamentary Committee to receive its support for the activities of the opposition.
