Condolences for the death of Raymond Aubrac

For the death of the great French Resistance, Raymond Aubrac,  Maryam Rajavi, offered condolences to Aubrac family particularly his children, his grandchildren and the French people.

Mrs. Rajavi paid tribute to the one of waking consciouses of France and sincere friend of the Iranian people and Resistance.

In her condolence message, she said: "Raymond Aubrac was awakened conscious of France, and represented the noble values ??of resistance against oppression and Nazis. Until the last moment of his life he remained a symbol of resistance and defended the ideal and the struggle of the National Council of Resistance of France, founded over 60 years ago, passing the flame of conscious to new generations ".

"With Lucy, she said, they represented a couple of symbolic hero of the resistance that will continue to inspire other generations."

Mrs. Rajavi added: "Raymond Aubrac was also, as Lucy, a true friend for the Iranian Resistance and a caring  father for the residents of Camp Ashraf. His concern about their fate showed his faithful commitment to the traditions of resistance for freedom. "

Raymond Aubrac had recently signed an appeal in December 2011 against the threat of massacre of the residents of Ashraf. In June 2011 he participated in the rally of the Iranian Resistance in Villepinte (Paris)  in defense of Camp Ashraf residents and expressed his support.

Raymond and Lucie Aubrac were outraged for the deal of the then government of France  and the mullahs regime onJune 2003, which led to an unwarranted raid against the Iranian Resistance in France.
