Speech at international conference in Geneva
Friday, 01 March 2013 19:33

In the name of God,
In the name of Iran,
In the name of freedom,
In the name of massacred human rights,
In the name of the rights of refugees, which have been harmed and bloodied by the dagger of betrayal,
And in the name of the PMOI martyrs and heroes of February 9th.

Dear Compatriots,

I am delighted to once again be with you in Geneva, the European headquarters of the United Nations, and the seat of the highest human rights and refugee institutions; a city, which is identified with the most important human rights and refugee conventions.

For the Iranian people, Geneva brings to mind the memory the great martyr of the cause of human rights, Prof. Kazem Rajavi, whose blood was shed a few miles from the UN headquarters by terrorists dispatched by Khamenei and Rafsanjani.

Years before that, when Kazem was a university professor here in Geneva, he received a letter on September 23, 1971, informing him that the Shah’s dictatorship had arrested his brother, Massoud. The news ignited a fire in him that completely changed his life. I am at a loss for words when attempting to describe his monumental efforts to save Massoud’s life.

I heard about some of the events of that major campaign from Kazem himself and have also read about it in his handwritten book. This was a truly astonishing campaign.

Speech at City Hall – Geneva
Friday, 01 March 2013 13:52

The Honorable Mayor
Distinguished guests,

I salute you all.
I sincerely thank Mayor Remy Pagani, who initiated the holding of this conference and I am delighted to be visiting Geneva again, the European seat of the United Nations.
A city which is identified with some of the most important international conventions. Those which defend the lives of endangered people and the oppressed and support standing up to the dangers of despotic and bellicose regimes.

The danger which threatens my country and vast frontiers from the Middle East to North Africa is religious fascism, which also threatens global peace and security.
The danger of the mullahs perpetrating atrocities and violence has grown much more today, because they see themselves in the phase of being overthrown.

Maryam Rajavi's speech at French assembly
Wednesday, 20 February 2013 00:00

Colbert Hall - French Assembly

Mr. President Dominque Lefebvre
Mr. Minister Alain Vivien
Mr. President of the Majority of French Assembly
Members of National Assembly
Senator Torricelli
Ladies and Gentlemen

It is a great pleasure to be with you here.
I thank the Parliamentary Committee for Democratic Iran to initiate this conference.

Dear Friends,

In the Conference last December I noted that mullahs’ regime is in its final phase of being overthrown. Developments in the past two months further confirm this fact.

First, the regime is in a stalemate in its nuclear weapons program. That is why it rejected the direct talks with the US Government. The mullahs’ dictatorship considers the US proposal for direct talks as a sign of weakness. The mullahs are fully aware of the serious consequences of continuing their nuclear program. But the regime is too weak to retreat from its position.

Speech after meeting with congressional delegation at Paris
Sunday, 17 February 2013 00:00

Chairman Rohrabacher,
Chairman Poe,
Congressman Higgins
Congressman Cook,

As I mentioned earlier today during our discussion, mullahs are on their final stage rapidly approaching their downfall.
The Iranian society, despite brutal suppression, is ready for uprising.

Mullahs have resorted to all means to suppress the rising popular discontent.
Public executions and inhuman punishments are on rise to intimidate the people.
In recent months at least two political activists were tortured to death.
Despite such repression, we are witnessing growing support for the Resistance.

This indicates that to overthrow the regime an organized movement is needed; this is the task that the Iranian Resistance has been engaged in, particularly after the delisting.
The people of Ashraf and Liberty are the most organized part of the Resistance.
They are source of inspiration for the youth and women.
They form the core of a Resistance whose extension is in Iran.

Paying homage to martyrs of camp Liberty
Monday, 11 February 2013 00:00

In the name of God,
In the name of Iran,
In the name of freedom

In the name of the standard bearers of the Iranian people’s perseverance and struggle amid the phase of the overthrow of the ruling religious tyranny in Iran
I salute my dear sister, Pouran Najafi, a former political prisoner in Khomeini’s dungeons;
I salute Yahya Nazari, the lion of the city of Qa’emshahr on the shores of the Caspian Sea;
I salute Mehdi Abedi, a brave son of Kazeroun, who, after a 34-year-long struggle, has joined his martyred brothers, Abbas, Abdollah and Kazem and other martyrs.
I salute Mostafa Khosravi, from Iranian Kurdistan, who was a cause for honor during his 30-year presence in the ranks of the People’s Mojahedin;
I salute Akbar Azizi, the brave son of the city of Rasht;
And I salute Hadi Shafiee, a son of the brave people of Mashhad in northeastern Iran.
Doubtless, at this very moment, the people of Gha’emshahr, Rasht, Bijar, Kazeroun, Mashhad and all Iranian cities, like all of us here, albeit broken hearted, but in high spirits, renew their pledge with their sons and daughters.
