Free Iran 2025: Youth Gathering
Maryam Rajavi: The Continuity of Generations in the Struggle for Freedom
On Saturday, October 25, 2025, a gathering of Iranian youth supporters of the PMOI/MEK and the Iranian Resistance was held on the eve of the anniversary of the November 2019 uprising, in the presence of Maryam Rajavi and youths from European countries, the United States, Canada, and Australia.
The event, which lasted for eight hours, included youth groups from Bonn, London, and Zurich.
A number of political figures supporting the Iranian Resistance from various countries also attended the gathering online as observers.
During the event, representatives of youth delegations consisting of athletes, engineers and professionals, lawyers and legal experts, doctors and medical staff, students, academics, researchers and graduates, families of martyrs, and associations of Iranian youth, as well as several young people who had been active in the uprisings of November 2019 and 2022 inside Iran, delivered speeches.
Full text of Maryam Rajavi’s speech:
Aware and rebellious youth, the architects of uprisings across Iran!
Courageous young supporters of the Iranian Resistance who have gathered here today!
Dear compatriots and distinguished personalities joining us online!
The people of Iran and the Iranian Resistance have reached an extraordinary moment in history. Now destiny is knocking at the door, calling upon us to fulfill our great historic duty and rise up for freedom.
It is not without reason that the brave young men and women in the Resistance Units have expanded their battles across the nation. Nor is it a coincidence that you, the vanguards of Iran’s young generation abroad, have gathered here today to stand in solidarity with the freedom fighters inside our enchained homeland.
The time has come for the most decisive battles and uprisings.
The driving and decisive force behind this struggle and these uprisings is the young, rebellious generation of Iran, a generation that organizes and is organized, fights with courage and self-sacrifice, and will bring down the tyrannical rule of the mullahs.
I salute this fierce and passionate resolve!
I salute you, the force of change today and the force of hope for building a new Iran, tomorrow.
I salute you, the warriors of the Resistance Units and your comrades-in-arms here and around the world, who seek to build a new order founded on freedom, democracy, and equality.
A Unified Organization, the Strength Behind the Young Generation
Today, Khamenei is beset by the fury and discontent of the people of Iran, and our people have brought forth their most effective weapon, namely, the new generations, backed by a cohesive organization, forged through decades of struggle against two dictatorships.
This efficient weapon is the resolve of Iran’s rebellious youth. It is the dedicated fighting force, which is you.
Throughout history, both in our country and across the world, the greatest advances toward the freedom of nations have never been won by vast armies and legions, but by selfless individuals.
You are the decisive force on the ground.
It is your will and your hands that halt the wheels of regression and oppression and set in motion the wheels of revolution and freedom.
Massoud Rajavi says, “The primary war from the outset has been between the people of Iran, the Resistance and the people’s front on the one side and the religious dictatorship on the other. This battle will continue to the destination of freedom. Young warriors and rebels must get prepared for the final battle more and more every day.”
An endless line of meteors
You are the continuation of 60 years, or I should say 120 years, of unbroken struggle across generations for freedom.
You are the enduring generations, through relentless struggle, have mocked death and defeated torture and torturers. You, who never abandoned the battlefield.
On September 27, 1981, with the cry of “Down with Khomeini, the tyrant’s reign is over!” you raised the banner of overthrow.
You transformed the units of the National Liberation Army into the formidable force of the Iranian people and ignited, and continue to fuel, the wave of uprisings, from Mashhad in 1992 to the nationwide uprisings of 2022.
The mullahs never imagined that an endless procession of blazing stars from this generation was on its way, stars that would bring their regime to its final end.
Honor to you and your generation, who like Vahid (Bani-Amerian), Javad (Sani), Babak (Alipour) and their comrades, have defied death sentences, and mocked Khamenei’s prisons and gallows.
In the face of this machinery of repression and intimidation, these executions and these arrests, this powerful and countless generation tells Khamenei: “go ahead, arrest, detain, execute; in doing so you are digging your own grave.”
A Rebellious Generation Thirsting for Freedom
Now it is Iranian society that has risen up against the regime’s policy of execution.
The strike by 1,500 death row prisoners was the resolute cry of a people pushed to the brink, who do not want this criminal regime.
Today, more than ever before, we are closer to the overthrow of the clerical regime.
In all the past 47 years, has there ever been a time when the regime reached such depths of weakness and decay?
Has there ever been a moment like today, when every pseudo-solution, designed only to preserve the regime, has utterly failed?
Those who once clung to the inner circles of this regime, painting the torturers in the colors of reform, have now been cast aside.
Those who pinned their hopes on war or foreign intervention have been burned and disgraced.
The nostalgic monarchists, mourning the fallen throne, have openly admitted to nurturing a blueprint for new neo-fascism, one that leans on the very criminal institutions of this regime.
And on the international stage, it has been proven that the greatest error regarding Iran has been the policy of appeasement, a disastrous policy that, in addition to bringing shame, ultimately led to war.
As a result, it became clear that only two paths remain.
Either the continuation of this regime, or a democratic revolution. The rule either of the mullahs’ Supreme Leader, or a republic founded on the vote of the people.
Thus, the solution is precisely what has been the target of the most intense censorship of the century; the very solution that is relentlessly demonized and bombarded by an arsenal of countless accusations.
The genuine solution is the overthrow of the regime by the people of Iran, their organized resistance, and this rebellious force thirsting for freedom.
Generations United in the Struggle for Freedom
The regime’s allies, in their efforts to preserve it, claim that this resistance has no base among the people. Fine, you are right: we have never had, nor will we ever seek, the kind of base you desire, namely the Basij, the so‑called reformists, or the regime’s covert intelligence agents.
For us, the people of Iran, and this very generation of freedom-seeking rebels will suffice.
In stark contrast to a regime plagued by continuous defections, the great pride of the Mojahedin lies in generations fighting side by side, shoulder to shoulder, with their ranks growing stronger each day.
From those who began their struggle in the torture chambers of the Shah’s prisons and have devoted a lifetime without pause to this cause, to the thousands of young women and men in the Resistance Units.
To you, the enlightened and committed youth abroad who have risen to support this movement through your efforts.
And to those who have become a symbol of resistance, perseverance, and unwavering resolve: the steadfast Mojahedin of Ashraf 3, the one thousand heroines of the PMOI Central Council, and a generation of emancipated men.

Especially now, as we approach the tenth anniversary of the missile attack by the terrorist Quds Force on Camp Liberty, where 24 PMOI members gave their lives and raised high the blood-stained banner of Iran’s freedom.
Dear Friends,
When we speak of a new generation, of fresh thinking, and of the resolve of the young generation, we speak of the will to bring change, of free choice, and of the equal participation of women and youth in shaping the destiny of their society and their nation.
Under the rule of the mullahs, unemployment, poverty, and the gallows fall most heavily upon the youth.
Yet the young generation of Iran has risen to overturn this disgraceful injustice. These are the very youth who, despite possessing the highest levels of education and awareness, are denied any share in their nation’s wealth and resources.
The vibrant, talented force whose creative energy finds no outlet but street vending, portering across borders, fuel smuggling, or driving taxis, and whose hearts overflow with rage and resentment toward the criminal and plundering rulers.
It is from this very generation that the volcano of uprisings erupts, to bring down the palace of tyranny built by the tyrant of our time.
The Heart of the Battle for Freedom
You will certainly ask what must be done to bring about this great transformation.
Look to the Resistance Units who, through their relentless struggle, have kept the flame of uprising and revolution burning.
When your hands, young people, join with the hands of your fellow fighters, they become the mighty arm of the people; the force that sets the uprising and the Army of Freedom into motion.
Know this: You, the teenagers and youth living thousands of kilometers away from your homeland, in Europe, the United States, Canada, and Australia, have many ways to contribute to the revolution and fight for freedom.
You can awaken every young Iranian to join the fight to overthrow the clerical regime, and to become a supporter and comrade of the Resistance Units.
Choose a path of selflessness for the liberation of a captive nation.
The more you give to this path, the freer and more empowered you become; you transform into individuals worthy of a liberated, advanced, and progressive world.
Years ago, Massoud Rajavi said, “We need shoulders and backs — that is, capacities; we need hearts, conscience, minds, and spirits that can bear the pain of a revolution and carry its burden. Because we want to uproot this reactionary and anti‑people ideology. Fight and we will fight back.”
Yes, at the heart of the matter — for every generation, in every place and time —lies a single truth: the struggle for freedom and equality.
The main issue is a choice: a choice to set aside personal interests for the sake of changing the destiny of the people.
It is the same choice made two thousand years ago by Spartacus.
The same choice made fourteen centuries ago by Imam Hussein, his companions, and Hazrat-e Zaynab, in the eternal epic of Ashura.
The same choice made 120 years ago by the youth of Iran, who led the Constitutional Revolution to victory.
It is the path once taken by three young men, 25-26 years old, Mohammad Hanifnejad, Saeed Mohsen, and Ali Asghar Badizadegan, who sixty years ago, chose to forge a new way of thinking, a new path, a new method. That new path became the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran.
And it was Massoud Rajavi, who, at just 24 years old, in prison and after the martyrdom of the founders, took the responsibility of continuing and expanding that path, elevating it to the heights we see today.
Salute, salute, salute!

Fifty-four years ago, the martyred Mojahed, Mehdi Rezaei, after his arrest and months of torture, stood before the Shah’s military court and said to the prosecutor: “We are educated youth. We had access to the best lives and opportunities, but we gave it all up to save our people.”
Salute to Mehdi Rezaei, the crimson rose of the revolution!
This choice is the spark of revolution.
When you decide to move forward, when you seek to break free from what binds you, it demands rebellion. Rebellion against the very force that has halted human progress.
Rebellion against reactionary culture, against exploitative relationships, against the patriarchal order, and against any ideology that traps humans inside their own cocoons.
And now it is your turn, and the turn of generations to come, to make such bold choices, to play your part in overthrowing this regime and shaping the new vision of tomorrow’s Iran.
We Want to Build a Free and Thriving Iran
Yes, we seek to build a free and flourishing Iran.
An Iran where every talent may blossom.
Where the nation’s human capital returns to shape the democratic Iran of tomorrow.
Yes, we want to reclaim Iran and rebuild this devastated homeland, even if it means laying each brick with the essence of our own lives.
We envision an Iran where all citizens enjoy equal rights and actively contribute to the political and economic progress of their country.
A homeland where no one is privileged or deprived for their belief, or lack thereof, in any religion or denomination.
We aim to end the compounded oppression suffered by diverse nationalities under both monarchic and theocratic dictatorships, and we stand for autonomy within a united and indivisible Iran.
We want of a homeland where no door is closed to women, where women enjoy full freedoms and equal rights in political, economic, and social spheres, and where they play an active and equal role in political leadership of society.
We seek a country where young people play a fundamental role in shaping the nation’s destiny and contribute their creativity and energy to managing affairs in every city and village, and in every administrative, educational, and production unit.
The most vital measure of democracy in tomorrow’s free Iran will be the role that women and youth are empowered to play.
I call upon you, the new and young generations of Iran, to strive and struggle ever more for this glorious future.

November 2019: The Volcano of the Iranian People’s Fury
We are approaching the anniversary of the great November 2019 uprising.
The November uprising ignited the volcano of the Iranian people’s fury for the overthrow of the velayat-e faqih regime across 200 cities.
Over 800 locations across the country became centers of rebellion and protest.
More than 1,890 centers of repression, plunder, and propaganda were targeted.
In cities like Shiraz, Karaj, Robat Karim, and Fardis, parts of the city were liberated for hours.
The rebellious cities and Resistance Units revealed themselves.
Indeed, PMOI’s strategy came alive in the streets.
Salute to the 1,500 proud martyrs of the November uprising, from the blood soaked city of Mahshahr to Tehran, Shahriar, Eslamshahr, Behbahan, Ahvaz, Isfahan, Sirjan, and Marivan.
Salute to the architects of a brilliant model, who showed how, and through what force, the people and their thunderous uprisings, led by the organized force of their fighting vanguard, can and must overthrow the clerical regime.
O youth of the homeland,
Your heart, a spring of hope,
Your resolve, as firm as steel.
One step remains to take ahead,
The day of freedom for this captive land
Is surely close at hand.
