Why do PMOI women wear the Hijab and what is its philosophy?

In the logic and values of the Mojahedin, wearing the hijab is entirely a matter of choice. It is a completely conscious decision. We believe in freedom of clothing.
Just as we defend freedom of the press, freedom of speech, and freedom of assembly, we also defend freedom of clothing.
The PMOI women, who themselves wore the hijab, took part in women’s demonstration against the compulsory Hijab, and defended the rights of women who did not wear it.
This obsession with whether women wear the hijab or not, is itself the product of a reactionary regime, a theocratic, fundamentalist dictatorship, that under the banner of Hijab perpetuates fear in society to maintain its grip on power.
The philosophy behind the hijab, which the PMOI women have chosen it consciously, is to stand against the ideology and culture of patriarchy. This choice says, “Before you look at me as a gender, look at me as a human being, see my dignity, my character, and the values I embody.” The hijab is simply a means to challenge that way of thinking, nothing more.
