After participating and addressing official meetings EPP, UEL and ALDE groups at the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), Maryam Rajavi addressed a gathering of representatives from various political groups in the Council of Europe and prominent European personalities entitled, “Freedom of Prisoners of Uprising.” Maryam Rajavi said in her remarks:
Upon the invitations of several political groups of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, Maryam Rajavi participated in the meeting of the European People’s Party, the largest political group in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe.
Upon the invitation of Mr. Tiny Kox, chairman of the United European Left, Maryam Rajavi attended a meeting of this group during her visit to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe in Strasbourg.
In the course of her visit to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe in Strasbourg on January 24, 2018, Maryam Rajavi attended a meeting of the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe (ALDE), where she elaborated on the developments in Iran uprising, the need for international measures to secure the release of those arrested during the protests, and answered questions posed by members of the EC Parliamentary Assembly.
