Iran: Hamedan Youth Protest the Killing of Two Young Men by Basij Forces with Defiant Slogans

Mrs. Maryam Rajavi saluted the protesting youth who did not allow the blood of the martyrs to be trampled upon

At dawn on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, due to gunfire by criminal Basij forces at a vehicle in the Tarik-Darreh area of Hamedan, two young men named Mehdi Abayi and Alireza Karbasi lost their lives, and another young man was severely injured.
On the morning of Thursday, July 3, 2025, a large group of Hamedan residents, during the funeral procession, expressed their anger and protest against the clerical regime, the IRGC, and the Basij with slogans such as “Death to the oppressor,” “I will kill, I will kill the one who killed my brother,” and “Our enemy is right here; they lie when they say it’s America.”
Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, the President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), expressed her condolences to the bereaved families and saluted the angry and protesting youth who did not allow the blood of the fallen to be trampled upon. She stated that the killing of innocent youth in Hamedan, the attack and assault on defenseless women in Khash, the widespread arrests, and the increasing executions only deepen the people’s anger and hatred and strengthen their determination and resolve to bring about regime change.
