In Memory of Dr. Anna Záborská, Member of the National Council from Slovakia

With deep sorrow, I extend my condolences on the passing of Dr. Anna Záborská, Member of the National Council from Slovakia and former MEP, to her family, friends, and colleagues in the European Parliament.
She was a dedicated physician, a courageous and tireless advocate for human rights and women’s rights, who always stood with the people of Iran, the Iranian Resistance, and the residents of Ashraf in difficult times. In the face of the misogynist clerical regime, she amplified the rightful voice of Iranian women.
As she herself once said:
“The most important moments of my life are connected with the activities of the National Council of Resistance of Iran, which has continued for nearly thirty years. Every day I met with the men and women of the Iranian Resistance in the European Parliament. Tirelessly, they spoke with Members, gathered signatures, and organized meetings.”
When the day of Iran’s freedom comes, the people of Iran will cherish the memory of Anna Záborská and all the noble friends who stood beside them throughout this long and difficult struggle.
