French Moslem Dignitaries at Auvers-sur-Oise

On the anniversary of the birth of Islam’s Prophet Mohammad, a number of French Moslem personalities took part in a ceremony at the residence of the Iranian Resistance’s President-elect Maryam Rajavi in Auvers-sur-Oise.

Sheikh Mamadoo Sango Shara, the Imam of Taverny Mosque and a prominent Moslem figure in the area; Mr. Ghaleb Ben Sheikh, Islamic researcher and chairman of International Conference of Religions for Peace; Mr. Ibrahimi, from the France-Algerian Friendship Association in Val D’Oise; Mr. Abdol-Rahim Kasbary, head of the French Moslem Students Society; Mr. Diuf, chairman of the student union in Cergy University; Mr. Saad Zoqlul, a famous Eygyptian author; and Dr. Abdollah Al-Jaburi a prominent political personality from Iraq and, until recently, the Governor of Diyala, were among the participants.

Ayatollah Jalal Ganjei, chairman of the Religious Tolerance Committee of the National Council of Resistance of Iran, and a number of other Iranian opposition figures, were present.

Mrs. Rajavi praised Prophet Mohammad’s teachings and the values he represented and advocated, such as unity, freedom, equality, tolerance, and affection. She said that what mullahs do in Iran, including stoning to death, amputation, dehumanizing women, whipping and hanging youths in public, have nothing to do with Islam.

Mrs. Rajavi expressed her appreciation for the support of Moslem communities in France for the Iranian Resistance and appealed for helping Iranian people and particularly calling on the Moslems to form a united front against Islamic fundamentalism led by the clerical regime in Iran.
