On July 30, 2025, Maryam Rajavi, President-elect of the NCRI, visited Rome to promote a democratic, non-nuclear Iran. Speaking at the Italian Chamber of Deputies, she presented her 10-point plan for human rights and secular governance, supported by Senator Giulio Terzi Sant’Agata. Greeted by supporters chanting “Benvenuta Maryam,” Rajavi highlighted Iran’s crisis, while Charles Michel, former EU Council President, called the Tehran regime “weak but brutal,” noting a 130% rise in executions.
