It is possible to get rid of the oppressive mullahs

leader of the Iranian opposition, believes that if the world imposes an embargo against Iran and removes the terrorist label from the People’s Mojahedin resistance movement, Iranians will be able to get rid of the oppressive mullahs’ regime.

Yesterday she was delighted to meet parliament’s foreign affairs committee and the Stortinget’s (parliament) vice-president, Carl I. Hagen, while hundreds of Iranian supporters in Norway were celebrating, throwing flowers and waving flags outside.

This meeting took place in spite of harsh protests by the (regime’s) ambassador who threatened the deputies with “serious consequences” if they accepted to meet “a terrorist group which had killed civilians in Iran”.

Taking the threats with composure

The Norwegian parliamentarians considered the threats coming from Iran with composure and with particular indifference. Morten Hoglund, deputy from the Progress Party and member of the foreign affairs committee, stated “Iran also threatened other countries not to open dialogue with this group, and nothing happened. In case something happened, it would be against Norway’s interests for the first time”.

Erna Solberg does not expect any reaction from Iran’s ambassador.

She denies the accusations of murders of innocent people

Maryam Rajavi heads the National Council of Resistance of Iran. The People’s Mojahedin led by her husband constitute the most important force in this group. The People’s Mojahedin have been put on the terrorism lists of the European Union and the United States, but the U.S. also considers the Council as a terrorist group.

“We have been put on this list because the West wanted to please the mullahs’ regime. This measure is baseless and does not rely on any facts. The operations of the People’s Mojahedin targeted only military targets and the repressive system of the regime.”

She asks for sanctions

At her meeting with the Norwegian deputies, she spoke about sanctions against Iran, which she sees as the “major threat to peace in the Middle East and in Europe”. According to Maryam Rajavi, by putting pressure on the regime and removing the restrictions on the resistance, the Iranians, who despise this regime, will be able to remove the ayatollahs within several years.

“The Resistance movement enjoys large support in Iran. Why else does this regime fear the Resistance this much?”
