Jordanian parliamentarians support the Iranian Resistance

Maryam Rajavi: The religious dictatorship in Iran is region’s foremost predicament that has taken hostage security, democracy and peace; the solution is establishment of the front against fundamentalism
While voicing their solidarity with hunger strikers in Camp Liberty and other countries, parliamentarians called on the Arab community to condemn Maliki’s atrocities and defend Liberty residents. This is an imperative in confronting Iranian regime’s cupidity.

On Friday, November 15, nineteen Jordanian parliamentarians met with Maryam Rajavi, in her headquarters in Auvers-sur-Oise in northern Paris and presented to her the declaration of that country’s parliament majority in the call for urgent release of Ashraf seven hostages and providing security provisions to Camp Liberty residents.
This statement, signed by more than eighty percent of Jordanian lawmakers, expresses abhorrence for the massacre of PMOI in Ashraf that led to the martyrdom of 52 and abduction of seven, including six women and voices concern for lack of minimum protective provisions for Camp Liberty calling for urgent measures to immediately release the seven Ashraf hostages by Government of Iraq and guarantee Liberty’s security through deployment of UN Blue Helmets in this camp.

Participants included Ms. Nareman al-Rousan, former deputy speaker of parliament; Mamdouh al-Abbadi, former deputy speaker of parliament, Minister of Health, and Amman’s former mayor; and Mohammad al-Haj Mohammad, member of Jordanian parliament, Basam al-Manasir, chairman of foreign affairs committee and a number of other Jordanian parlamentarian .
While bowing to the pure spirits of Ashraf martyrs, Jordanian lawmakers expressed their solidarity with hunger strikers in Camp Liberty and five countries who have forgone eating for 76 days. While reiterating on the request of majority of Jordanian parliament, they condemned the inaction by United States and United Nations with regard to violation of Liberty residents’ rights and called on them to live up to their commitments to provide safety and security to Camp Liberty residents to thwart occurrence of another catastrophe against PMOI and not allow Maliki, a wholehearted element of Iranian regime, to barbarically suppress Iran’s organized opposition, especially that they are all protected persons under the Geneva Conventions and asylum-seekers who enjoy international protection.
Parliamentarians urged the Arab community and Arabic and Islamic countries to condemn Maliki’s atrocities and to defend PMOI members who are guests of the Arabic homeland. This is the other side of the coin of confronting evil plots by this regime in the region, especially in Iraq, Syria, Lebanon and Yemen. They stated that PMOI’s destruction and slaughter of members of the resistance in Iraq is a prelude to Iranian regime’s further domination over the region. Supporting Camp Liberty is not just a humanitarian matter, but an imperative to confront regime’s regional cupidity.
They underscored the fact that U.S. ought not to sacrifice PMOI, the organized and legitimate opposition to mullahs’ regime, nor the Arab countries by offering concessions to this regime in its negotiations with the Iranian regime. They added that U.S. should not negotiate with the Iranian regime on its nuclear program while turning a blind eye to regime’s meddling in Arab countries and massacre of the people and its opposition.
Lawmakers emphasized that five months after Iranian regime’s sham elections and three and a half months into Rouhani’s assumption of power, no sign of change is seen within this regime. The situation of human rights has further aggravated, meddling in the region has witnessed a surge, and according to recent testimony by the International Atomic Energy Agency, nuclear projects are advancing at previous paces.
Maryam Rajavi, stated: future of the region depends on the outcome of conflict between the regime of Velayat-e faqih and its cohorts on the one hand and people and countries of the region on the other. She added that daily explosions in Iraq, fanning the war in Syria, introducing schism and all kinds of terrorist instigations in Arab and Muslim countries, are all guided from Tehran. Iranian regime’s missile system targets Arab capitals rather than Tel Aviv, London or Washington; much like the fact that the objective of the regime in achieving nuclear weapons capability is to dominate the Arab and Islamic world before all else.
She stressed that the principal confrontation in this region is not between Shiites and Sunnis, Muslims and non-Muslims, Arabs and non-Arabs, or East and West, it is rather between the regime of Velayat-e faqih on the one hand and people and countries of the region on the other. She described establishing the front against fundamentalism as the solution to confronting this predicament.
Maryam Rajavi said that this front can and must rid the region of the mullahs’ ruling Iran which is also the best assistance to the wishes of Iranian people to free themselves from the evil of mullahs and attain freedom. She said: Mullahs are greatly dread such a front and therefore in their diplomatic relations have time and again declared establishment of any relations with PMOI as their red line because they know all too well that solidarity of countries and states in the region with PMOI will quickly lead to the formation of just such a front.
