Mrs. Maryam Rajavi Welcomes the Expulsion of Iran’s Ambassador from Australia

Calls for the Terrorist Designation of the IRGC, the Closure of Embassies and Regime Centers, the Dens of Terror and Espionage
Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, the President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran, welcomed the expulsion of the ambassador of the ruling religious fascism in Iran from Australia and emphasized that the Iranian Resistance has, for more than three decades, called for the closure of embassies, representations of the ruling religious dictatorship in Iran, and its affiliated centers, which are in fact dens of terrorism and espionage. She stressed that this is a measure other countries, particularly the European Union, must follow.
For the past four decades, the principal mission of the regime’s embassies, representations, diplomats, and agents abroad has been carrying out terrorist operations against Iranian dissidents, building espionage networks, stealing technology, and violating international sanctions. In the clerical regime, diplomacy has served merely as a cover for terrorist and unlawful activities.
Assadollah Assadi, the diplomat-terrorist bomber stationed at the regime’s embassy in Vienna, who was sentenced to 20 years in prison in Belgium, carried a bomb on a commercial flight from Tehran to Europe to detonate it at the Iranian Resistance’s gathering in Paris in June 2018. This leaves no doubt about the true mission of the embassies of the religious fascism. Likewise, the regime’s ambassador in Albania was expelled for his involvement in a failed terrorist plot against the PMOI gathering during Nowruz 2018, after which the regime’s embassy was shut down.
In an audio clip released in March 2021, the regime’s former foreign minister, Javad Zarif, admitted: “Our embassies have a security structure. From the very beginning, our Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been confronted with security matters. The agenda set for the Foreign Ministry, since the start of the revolution, has been a political-security agenda… In the 1990s, they shut down the economic deputyship of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and instead established regional deputyships whose orientation was primarily political-security.”
According to reports from security services in European countries and similar agencies elsewhere, the regime’s targets abroad have been the opponents of the regime—foremost among them, the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK), the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), and their supporters. The assassination attempt against Dr. Alejo Vidal-Quadras in Spain in November 2023, and before that the assassinations of NCRI representatives in Switzerland, Italy, and Turkey, as well as terrorist attacks on the NCRI and PMOI offices in Berlin, Stockholm, London, and Paris, are examples of the regime’s unbridled terrorism against the Iranian Resistance.
The Iranian Resistance once again underscores the necessity of designating the IRGC as a terrorist organization, shutting down the embassies, representations, and cultural and religious centers affiliated with the clerical regime, expelling its diplomats and other agents, and prosecuting and deporting the mercenaries of the Ministry of Intelligence and the Quds Force. This is not only essential for the security of Iranian refugees but also an imperative in combating terrorism on an international scale.
