Maryam Rajavi’s Message of Condolence on the Passing of Georges-Henri Beauthier

The Eminent Belgian Lawyer, who was “the voice of those who are never heard”
With our deepest condolences, we mourn the passing of Mr. Georges-Henri Beauthier, one of Belgium’s most honorable lawyers and a distinguished figure in the country’s judicial system, who left us on June 24.
With over 50 years of professional experience, Mr. Beauthier was a staunch defender of human rights and democracy.
He was involved in some of the most significant legal cases in Belgium over the past half-century. Notably, he played a courageous role in the 2018 criminal case concerning the attempted bombing in Villepinte, Paris, orchestrated by a terrorist diplomat of the Iranian regime. His efforts were instrumental in preventing the release and extradition of the perpetrator to Iran.
I extend my heartfelt condolences to the family, relatives, and colleagues of Mr. Beauthier, as well as to the people of Belgium.
His tireless efforts in support of the Iranian people’s resistance against religious tyranny will remain forever remembered.
